Jameson Family Ecosystem

 

Jameson Family Ecosystem is a real-time interactive visualization that unites bartenders from across the globe, showcasing the vibrant community cultivated by Jameson Irish Whisky. This project was inaugurated during the Tales of the Cocktail bartenders' gathering in New Orleans in 2023. Thousands of bartenders converged in the city to share their passion for mixology and the art of drink-making.

Upon arrival at the Jameson Where Y’atParty, participants were invited to share their personal and professional details via iPads. This information included their names, the bars where their craft comes to life, their geographical locations, their signature cocktails, and their most significant influences in bartending. This act of sharing served as the entry point into the Jameson Family Ecosystem, a digital representation of their collective identity and camaraderie.

At the heart of the visualization is a solitary island amidst a vast digital sea, symbolizing the shared foundation and connected experience of bartenders worldwide. Each new participant is represented as a seed, suspended in the digital ether above the island. These seeds, embodying the potential and individuality of each bartender, gradually descend onto the island. Upon touching the ground, they blossom into vibrant flowers, each petal representing a bartender's unique contribution to the mixology community.

This project celebrates the art of bartending and employs cutting-edge technology to foster a sense of belonging among practitioners scattered across the globe. It prompts participants and onlookers alike to reflect on the essence of community and the invisible threads that connect us across distances. The Jameson Family Ecosystem is a dynamic and evolving tapestry that visualizes the growth and interconnectedness of the global bartending community.
